Commissions
I aim to make the process of ordering a pet portrait as easy as possible for you wherever you are in the world. Pet portraits are perhaps the most fitting way to celebrate that special animal in your life, your best friend. Hours of love are put in to creating them and will capture a true likeness and character of your pet. I use the finest quality artists quality materials to create your pet portraits and in capturing the personality of your pet, that, along with client satisfaction is my ultimate priority.
All my portraits are drawn from good, clear photographs. I need to work from high resolution photographs which show the unique details of your pet such as the fur, eyes, markings etc. I normally like 3 or 4 images to work from pointing out which one shows the most likeness to the colour and character.
It is common for there to be a waiting list for portraits to be completed because they involve many hours of detailed work, this is often longer at Christmas. I also offer gift vouchers for pet portraits if a last minute commission is not possible, or if you want to leave it to the recipient to decide what they want.
How do I pay for my portrait?
A deposit of 25% is required once the commission is agreed. You can pay with PayPal, via bank transfer or cheque. You will receive regular updates and a preview of the artwork before final payment is made. Following your preview the remaining balance is required before delivery.
All commissions will be gift boxed, wrapped and protected carefully for transit. Postage cost will vary dependent on the size of your portrait, framed or unframed and national or international delivery.
What if I want my portrait framing?
I work with an independent framing company for clients choosing to have their portrait framed at a very competitive rate. Prices vary on size of portrait, frame size and frame material. Frames are all professionally finished and come in a wide range of colours, woods and metals depending on style preference and budget. Quotations can be given when discussing your portrait size and preference of frame material/size.
Please note that in the event you choose to frame your portrait independently, it is advised that you keep your portrait packaged as it arrives and use a framing company with knowledge of handling pastel artwork to prevent damage until framed.
Delivery
Postal charges vary on portrait size and if framed or unframed. Unframed portraits will be posted wrapped in bespoke tissue paper, Gift Boxed and bubble wrapped.
Framed portraits will be protective bubble wrapped and boxed. I am based in the UK but regularly ship my artwork all over the world. While postage is not included in these prices, I will be able to give you an estimate for this before you place your order.
Pet Portrait Prices
Prices are in GDP (£) and all paper sizes are approximate (+/- 4mm). The picture itself will not extend to the edge of the paper in order to allow for framing. The completed artwork will come unframed and unmounted in a presentation gift box along with a signed certificate of authenticity and framing and care guides.
To secure your booking, a 25% deposit is required. The final balance, including postage and packaging, is payable once you have approved the completed drawing and prior to shipping.
